Darius P. Drain

Darius P. Drain, 78, of Morgantown, passed away on Wednesday December 27, 2017 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born January 2, 1939 in Lumberport, WV a son of the late Paul and Mildred Steele Drain.

Darius was a dedicated plumber at the WVU Physical Plant for 36 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping in Romney, WV. Most of all he was a devoted family man.

He leaves behind his wife of 59 years Vera Drain.; daughters Joyce Ann Drain and significant other Brian Nicholson, Barbara Miller and husband Gary, and Janet Drain; grandchildren Brian Miller and wife Jo Beth, Christina Wilson and husband Andy, Jenny Hagedorn, Nicholas Dodd, Stephanie Miller; great grandchildren Jordan Dodd, Bryce Miller, Hayley Wilson, Lexy Dodd, Brianna Dodd, Reygyn Dodd, Brileigh Miller, and A.J. Wilson. Darius is also survived by his siblings Frances Buchanan of Smithmill, PA, Pauline Robson of Hurricane, WV, Robert Drain of New York, Jack Drain and Donald Drain both of Morgantown.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Drain and a sister Dolly Hostutler.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff of SICU at Ruby Memorial Hospital for all of the care they gave to Darius.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday December 29, 2017 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11am with Pastor William Page officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
