Danny Wild Child Jenkins

Danny ‘Wild Child’ Jenkins, age, 70, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at the J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family, following a brief illness. Danny was born December 8, 1947 in Morgantown, son of Lillie Grace Nicholson Jenkins of Morgantown and the late George T. Jenkins.

Danny worked as a carpenter for various construction companies building residential homes in an around the Morgantown area. He was also a member of the Army National Guard. Danny had the greatest sense of humor and any one who knew him would agree that he told it like it was.

In addition to his mother, Lillie, Danny leaves to mourn his passing two daughters, Carie Barefoot husband Tim ‘No Shoes’ of Morgantown Jessy Jones of Carmichaels, PA and two brothers Ken Jenkins and Joe Jenkins and wife Marlene. Also surviving are several grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Danny was preceded in death by two brothers Tim and Keith Jenkins.

Family will receive visitors at the Nicholson Chapel Church on Monday, Jan. 29, 2018 from 12 noon until time of services at 2pm with Rev. Kenny Reed officiating. Danny will be laid to rest at the Nicholson Cemetery. Before leaving Danny’s company he would always say, “love ya, later.”
