Danny Earl Fletcher

Danny “Stroker” Earl Fletcher, 75, of Morgantown, WV passed away Thursday, October 17, 2019. He was born December 7, 1943 son of the late Walter and Willa “Billie” Hawker Fletcher.

Danny served in the navy aboard the U.S.S. Leahy for six years as a radarman and electronic technician. He worked as a machinist for Swanson’s. He enjoyed building model airplanes. He was the master at building and repairing motorcycles, and the owner of Shantytown Cycles. Danny was a life member of the Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club and was very well known in the biker community.

He is survived by his daughter Katie Fletcher and her mother Kelley Stoneking; his first wife Patty Fletcher Mays; his aunt Doris Hawker; several cousins; and all his brothers and sisters in Vietnam Vets Legacy Vets Motorcycle Club.

In addition to his parents, Danny was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 23, 2019, from 4 pm & 8 pm and again on Thursday from 10 am until the time of funeral services at 11 am with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Danny will be laid to rest at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Morgantown with military honors conducted by the Woody Williams Post 7048, Marion County and Navy Funeral Honors, Mid-Atlantic Region.
