Dale Dennis

Dale A. (Dink) Dennis, 90, passed away at Mapleshire Nursing Home in the early morning of December 27, 2017. He was born on September 10, 1927 to the late Edward and Virginia Dennis.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty; two children, Debra D. Martin and Neil E. Dennis and spouse Cheryl; three grandchildren, Brian M. Paris, Zachary and Rachael Dennis.

Dink graduated from Bruceton High School, served two years in the United States Air Force as military police. Dink also worked as a lineman for Mon Power for forty two years from which he retired from in 1990 and also obtained the nickname of ‘Dink’ during that time. He was a wonderful husband, father and loved to be outdoors and loved to watch to golf.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son-in-law Robert E. Martin; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dale’s honor may be made to Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, 750 Fairchance Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508.

Debbie and Neil would like to thank Mapleshire Nursing Home staff for their love and affection they gave to Dale, but, also for the support and utmost respect everyone there gave their mother Betty. Thank you for everything.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday, December 29th from 4pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue Saturday, December 30th, at Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, 750 Fairchance Rd, from 11am until the time of service at 12 noon with Pastor Barbara Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Cemetery, Cheat Lake, WV.
