Curtis Gene Dago' Johnson, 71 of Morgantown passed away Sunday June 19, 2011 at the Monongalia General Hospital. He was born November 12, 1939 in Dellslow son of the late Claude and Mary Henry Johnson. Curtis worked at Morgantown Glass, Bailey Glass, Seneca Glass and Beaumont Glass. He was a former member of the American Glassworkers Union. Curtis was an avid guitar player. He played music at the Mountain Chapel Church, and was a member of "Along for the Ride" band. They played at many country music events around the area. He was also a lifetime charter member of the Golden Circle Country Music Honor Society. He attended the Mountain Chapel Church. Curtis is survived by his wife of 47 years Leona Wheeler Johnson; son Mark L. Johnson and fiancée Denise Thomas of Somerset, PA; grandchildren Brittany Johnson and fiancée Andrew Luckey of Morgantown and Ashley Woody of Morgantown. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Curtis was the last surviving member of his family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Michael L. Johnson; brothers, Delphia, Dallas and Otis Johnson and Gay Henry; sisters Lily Johnson, Lela Mathess, Elsie Blosser and two infant sisters. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday June 22, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Thursday from 12:30pm until time of services at 1:30pm with Pastor Damon Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Masontown, WV.
