Conzolla Frances Dobbs

Conzolla Frances “Nanny” Dobbs, 86, of Morgantown, was called home on Sunday Oct. 24, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on Nov. 4, 1934, daughter to the late James and Zella McDonald of Morgantown. Frances was as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who cherished each moment with her family. A Christian by faith and devoted church mother to her beloved Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Her spirit was infectious and touched by all who knew her. Her kindness was shown through her love and acceptance of all who walked through her door. In addition to her parents, Frances was preceded in death by her husband Allen “Cocky” Dobbs; brothers William and James McDonald; son Allen Dobbs, Jr; and daughter Kimberly Dobbs. Left to cherish her memory are her sisters Rev. Claudette Dale and Carolyn Burns; brother John Lee McDonald; daughters Marquita Dobbs, Tonja Lake, Crystal (Warren) Hughes, Jennifer Tucker, Carolyn Preston and Brenda Holland; grandchildren Damia Dobbs, Jason Dobbs, Terry Lake Jr., Challen Dobbs, Chakyra Dobbs, Willa Hughes, Kaila Tucker, Brandon Tucker, and Tarren Tucker; great grandchildren Jackson, Jaiden, Brenton, Janiyah, Jiovanna, and Kielandra Dobbs, Mateo Lake, and Amaree Dobbs-Hicks. And a host of many other adopted children and grandchildren. Friends and family will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday Oct. 29, 2021 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday Oct 30, 2021 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
