Clyde Boggs

Clyde Monroe Boggs, 75, of Morgantown, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, Sept. 22, 2023. Clyde was born Mar. 11, 1948, the son of Leora Maxwell Boggs and the late Clyde C. Boggs.

Clyde was a US Army Veteran. He worked at various Morgantown car dealerships in the late 60s and 70s and moved on to Mon Power, where he retired after 33 years as a master mechanic. He loved muscle cars and Ford trucks. He enjoyed amusement parks, westerns, ice cream, and a good drag race.

He is survived by his mother, Leora Boggs; his wife, Patty Boggs; daughter Amy Demasi (Tony) and son Scott Boggs (Jodie); grandchildren, Douglas Boggs, Jr., Melissa Boggs, Stephanie Boggs, and Caitlin Demasi; great-grandchildren, Chase Boggs and Brynlee Boggs.

Also surviving are his siblings, Brenda Morgan-Patrick, Rebecca Drew (Harry), Bonnie Fisher, Beverly Stewart, and Chris Boggs (Becky).

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Douglas Boggs.

Family and friends will gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, Sept. 25, 2023, from 5 PM until 8 PM and again on Tuesday from 10 AM until the time of services at 11 AM, with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Clyde will rest at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
