Christine R. Phillips

Christine R. Phillips, 87 of Mt. Morris, PA passed away Monday July 5, 2010 at her daughter and son-in-law's home, whom she made her home with. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 25, 1922 in Morgantown a daughter to the late Harry and Olive Mae Maxwell Smith. She was the last surviving member of her family. She worked many years for Beaumont Glass Factory, doing many jobs including edger and painter. She loved spending time with family and friends. Christine loved going to Bingo and watching her soap operas. She also enjoyed doing household chores. While she was able, Christine enjoyed sitting on her daughter's front porch spending time with her family. She is survived by two daughters Judy Tritchler and husband Kenneth Spike' of Mt. Morris, PA and Bonnie Squires of Danville, CA; four grandchildren Frank Squires and wife Deb, Kim Friesen and husband John, Bobbie Jo Craynon, and Kenneth C. Tritchler II and wife Carly; and six great grandchildren Kaelah Squires, Aimee Squires, Mason Friesen, Blair Friesen, Brianna Craynon, and Kenneth Michael Craynon. Christine is also survived by an adopted daughter Shirley Gribble of Mt. Morris, PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of many years Robert Phillips; a loving son-in-law Frank Squires; three brothers and one sister. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday July 8, 2010 from 5-9pm and again on Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at Masontown Cemetery in Masontown, WV. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Christine's memory to Amedisys Hospice 246 Cheat Rd. Suite 3 Morgantown, WV 26508
