Cheryl Denise Conner

March 19, 1961 — January 23, 2020

Cheryl Denise Conner, 58, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on Thursday, January 23, 2020, at the Mon Health Medical Center.

Cheryl was born a daughter to George and Dolores Vines Garrett on March 19, 1961, in Bessemer, AL. Cheryl grew up in Adamsville, AL and was a 1979 graduate of Minor High School. Cheryl graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for UAB Hospital and later in Middle Tennessee Mental Health and, most recently, for Interim Healthcare in Morgantown.

Cheryl was a spirit-filled believer in the Lord Jesus and attended the HOPE Church. She was a prayer warrior, and dearly loved so many. Her devotion as a nurse and dedication of service was second to none. She indeed had a passion for caring.

Cheryl is survived by her beloved husband Ronald Conner of Morgantown; two sisters, Sandra Garrett of Morgantown, Terry Erdman of Nashville, TN; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Samantha Conner, Penny Harwood, Sherry Poling and husband Skip, Donald Conner and wife Shannon all of Morgantown, Donna McBee and husband Richard of Rivesville and Leroy Connor and wife Susan of Shinnston, WV. Also, surviving are her godchildren, Shauna Lynn and Kenneth Sean Teets. She will also be sadly missed and forever loved by the Whittaker family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two sisters-in-law, Tammy Conner and Mary Hunt, and brother-in-law Clifford Corob.

The family will receive friends at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, January 26, 2020, from 2 PM until time of service at 4 PM with Pastors Allen and Joseph Donham officiating. Cremation will follow with a private inurnment service.
