Charlotte Sue Carter

Charlotte Carter, 70 of Chaplin Hill Road went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2010. Charlotte was the daughter of the late Wayne Marshall Lake of Simpson, WV and the late Nellie Elizabeth Modesitt Lake. In addition to her parents Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Robert ‘Bobby’ Carter; sister Bernadine Lake; brother Tommy Lake and infant brother Gary. Charlotte cherished her three children, Elizabeth Carter and her partner Mary Yocco, Robert ‘Bob’ Carter and wife Debbie and Jimmy Carter who lives at home. Charlotte leaves behind four grandchildren; Joseph Sterle and partner Jason Baker, Jennifer Dierwechter and husband Jim, Robin Walls and husband Mike and Shawn Carter and fiancée Rebecca. Charlotte has four great grandchildren, Tyler, Geena, Christian and Madison and many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was also blessed to have a lifelong best friend Louella Hodges. Charlotte was a support to her entire family and will be greatly missed. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Friday June 25, 2010 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Saturday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. Loretta Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Olive Cemetery, Pentress, WV. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Ruby Memorial Hospital with special appreciation for the many years of care from Dr. Bethany Pelligrino, Cathy Carter and Louise Moore.
