Charles W. Bud' Mackley, 65, of Morgantown, passed away on Thursday March 6, 2014 at his home after a long battle with diabetes. Bud was born October 29, 1948, in Morgantown of Bertha Mackley Hall of Morgantown and the late Charles H. Mackley. Bud worked most recently for the WV Department of Highways as a dispatcher. He was Methodist by faith and served in the US Army during the Vietnam war. In addition to his mother, Bud is survived by his wife of 23 years, Mrs. Dottie L. Conrad Mackley; two sisters, Bonnie Jordan and husband Wayne of Morgantown and Vauda Wiley and husband Jerry of Bobtown, PA; step son, Charles Conrad of Morgantown; step grandchildren Cory Daft and Cody Conrad; step great granddaughter, Aubrey Conrad; brothers-in-law, Billy Tonkin and Kenneth Tonkin; sister-in-law, Brenda McCormick and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4pm until 8pm and again on Monday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by the WVANG, Camp Dawson and the Westover VFW Post 9916.
