Charles Edward Johnson

Charles (Jack) Johnson, 79 of Thornhill Ave., Westover passed away Sunday, August 11, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1933 at Cheat Lake, WV the son of the late Curtis Edward Johnson and Madelyn E. Johnson Seamon. Jack was a retired truck driver for Chemical Leaman, a member of Teamster Locals 175 and 505, the NRA and B.A.S.S. He also attended the Westside Senior Center, where he enjoyed playing Bingo on Wednesday evenings. He is survived by 5 sons Charles S.(Jean) Johnson and family, Jacob Allen (Pam) Johnson and family, Ernest (Rebecca) Johnson and family, Charles A. Johnson, and Michael Scott (Rhonda) Johnson and Derek with whom he made his home. Also surviving are 3 siblings, Virginia Lenhart, Roger Johnson and Joyce White. In addition to his parents, Curtis Edward Johnson and Madelyn E. Johnson Seamon, he was preceded in death by his wife Catherine Louise Johnson, an infant son Mark Johnson, a brother Kenneth Johnson and a sister Margaret Dennis. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 3pm until the time of services at 6pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Honoring Jack's wishes, cremation will follow. At Jack's request, no flowers will be accepted.
