Charles William Charlie' Bacorn, Jr., 69, of Morgantown, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2015 at his home after a long courageous battle with cancer. He was born August 24, 1946 in Morgantown, son to the late Charles W. Bacorn, Sr., and Gertrude A. Galford Bacorn. Charlie worked many years as a plant manager for Superior Laundries and then later retired from WVU's plumbing department. Charlie loved to bake and cook. He was best known for his baked beans that he would bring to family gatherings. Charlie was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era from 1965 to 1968. He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Felicia) Bacorn of Morgantown and Scott (Stacy) Bacorn of Knoxville, IA; three sisters, Carol (Frank) McGhee and Judy Lyons all of Morgantown and Sharon Cozad of Paden City, WV; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and special friends Bob McBee and Eloise Bennett. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Bob' Bacorn and special longtime friend Fred Bennett. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015 from 4pm until 8pm. Honoring Charlie's wishes, cremation will follow.
