Chandler Mull

May 29, 1921 — August 5, 2014

Chandler Mull, 93, of Morgantown passed away August 5, 2014 at WV Veterans Nursing Facility in Clarksburg. He was born May 29, 1921 in Wilmington, DE the son of the late Jacob F. Mull and Anna Sheehan Mull. Chan served his country during World War II with the U.S. Navy in the North Atlantic. During his time with the Navy he also attended Yale and Columbia Universities. He later attended WVU and earned a degree in electrical engineering in 1950. In 1951 he went to work for Mon Power and retired after 42 years of service. In 1960 he was certified as a professional engineer. Chan was a former member of the Elks Lodge and Pines Country Club. Christian by faith, he was a former member of Trinity Episcopal Church and Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He is survived by a son Robert Mull and wife Sherry of Morgantown; grandson Randall Mull and wife Stephanie; great grandsons Owen and Nathan Mull all of Round Hill, VA; brothers Richard Mull of Bloomington, IN, William Mull and wife Diane of Madison, OH; sister-in-law Thelma Spatz of Charleston, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Chan was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anita May Alfieri Mull and a brother Daniel Mull. Honoring his wishes, Chan donated his body to the Human Gift Registry of WVU and no services will be held. The family would like to thank People's Hospice of Clarksburg and the staff of WV Veterans Nursing Facility for the excellent care they provided.
