Carolyn Lee Hurley,

70, of Bruceton Mills, WV, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family at Mon General Hospital.

The daughter of the late Leroy Compton and Geraldine Gamble Compton Everly and her step father Elmer Everly, she was born December 25, 1945, in Morgantown.

Carolyn enjoyed going camping with her family at Big Bear Lake. She loved sitting on her porch, playing cards and talking to all her friends. Carolyn was a great cook and enjoyed feeding everyone. Most of all she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, James Hurley; one daughter and her husband, Cynthia and Andy McDonald; two sons and their wives, Ron and Sherri Hurley and Jimbo and Lori Hurley; grandchildren: Ronnie, Chris, Shanae, TJ, Amber, Caitlin, and Alisha; 5 great grandchildren; two sisters, Sharon Loughry and Tammy Hays; one brother, Randy Everly; and her two cuddle dogs, Prince and Jake.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Compton.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Monday, April 18, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and again on Tuesday, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
