Carol Louise Park

Carol Louise Stewart Park, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, was born on July 4, 1942, in Findlay Township, PA, to Carlos Edmund Palmer and Ida Mathilda Johnson. She passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at the JW Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, leaving a legacy of love and resilience.

Raised in Ohio, Carol graduated high school and proudly served her country in the United States Navy. Her journey led her to Annapolis, MD, where she met her husband, and in 1968, they moved to West Virginia, where she would truly make her mark. Carol dedicated over three decades to West Virginia University, retiring in 2007 as a cherished cashier known for her warm smile and kind heart.

Throughout her life, Carol's faith guided her and provided her with strength. She was a member of the Riverside Methodist Church.

She was a source of love and support to her children: daughter, Dawn R. Kuhn and her husband, Kevin, of Reynoldsburg, OH; son James Stewart and wife Michelle of Burton, WV; son Jeffry Stewart and wife Kelli of Fairview, WV; son John 'Chris' Foley and wife Sherry of Salisbury, NC. Carol also delighted in her role as a grandmother to grandchildren Joshua Kuhn, Ryan Stewart, Jami Carpenter, Jacob Tscherch, Kyndra Tucker, Kyndle Stewart, and Caelan Stinson, as well as her four great-grandchildren, Mason, Ruby, Cooper and Violet.

Carol is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Donald Stewart, sister, RaChel Palmer, and twin sister, Carolyn Cosentino,

Friends and family will gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Morgantown, WV  26501, on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. and again on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at noon, with her pastor and good friend Jim Weber officiating. Interment will follow at the Blacksville Cemetery.

In this time of sorrow, we remember Carol for her warmth, unwavering spirit, and the love she so freely shared with all who entered her life. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
