Carl William Lambert, Sr., 81, of Granville passed away Wednesday May 22, 2013 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born July 17, 1931 in Pursglove a son of the late Warren and Opal Shaffer Lambert. Carl served his country during the Korean Conflict with the U.S. Army. He worked many years as a bus driver for the Chicago Transit Authority. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping and dancing at Big Bear Lake Campground. He also loved the outdoors and nature, playing Pinochle, and enjoyed watching westerns and The Weather Channel. He is survived by; three daughters Alice Schmidt and husband Bill, Phyllis Caniglia all of Illinois, Sharon Trippett of Morgantown; three sons Carl William Lambert, Jr. of Granville, William Lambert, Joseph Lambert both of Ohio; brother Thomas Fred Lambert and wife Effie of Florida; sister Martha Ruth Bernoski and husband Walter of Morgantown; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Joyce Lambert. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Friday May 24, 2013 from 11am-1pm. Graveside services will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow with military rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916 and WVANG Honor Guard, Camp Dawson, Kingwood, WV.
