Brenda Kay Kessler

Brenda Kessler, 72, of Morgantown, WV, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2024. Born on May 6, 1952, in Morgantown, she lived a life full of love, laughter, and devotion to her family.

Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Dale McMillen and Helen Doloris, her in-laws, Bert and Ruby Kessler, and her sister, Wilma Santana.

She is survived by her loving husband, Randy Kessler; her children, Timothy Dalton (Kim), Bert Kessler (Kayla), and Heidi Dalton (Edward); and her siblings, Phillip McMillen (Kathy) and Lisa Lohmann (Andrew). She was a proud grandmother to Jacob, Katie, Jalen, Layla, Linzee, Nicole, Isabella, Marissa, and Natalie, and a doting great-grandmother to Keiontay.

Brenda was a dedicated homemaker who cherished her family above all. She had a passion for gardening, creating vibrant and welcoming spaces around her home. Her playful and creative spirit shone through in the piñatas she lovingly crafted for family reunions, making each gathering a little brighter. She loved being in front of the camera, capturing joyful memories, and never missed an episode of her favorite show, Gunsmoke.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the entire nursing staff at Mon General Hospital for their compassionate care and support during Brenda's time there.

Gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Nicholson Chapel. An additional gathering will take place on Friday, December 20, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM, also at Nicholson Chapel. Interment will follow at Nicholson Cemetery.
