Brenda Lee Constante Bowers

Brenda Lee Constante Bowers, 75, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Jan. 10, 2021.

Brenda was born March 29, 1945, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, to Betty and Domenic Constante. Soon after her birth, Brenda relocated to Morgantown, where she resided for all of her childhood and into adulthood. Her life then brought her to Wisconsin and later to Florida, where she found many long- lasting friendships, and her career, as a Secretary, for Leon Co. Schools Bus Garage. After her retirement, from Leon Co. Schools, Brenda enjoyed her Florida weather, the beach, time spent with/talking to family and friends and cooking. To be closer to family, Brenda relocated back to Morgantown, where she resided for the remainder of her years.

She is survived by two daughters, Leah Bowers and husband Brian Gandt, and Wendy Zierer and husband Richard; granddaughter Alecia Bowers; great-grandson Wyatt McCormick; cousins who were raised as siblings Joyce Wassick and husband Daniel Sr. (son Daniel Jr and wife Kim), Allen "Moe" Echard and wife Phyllis (and family); cousins Melodie and Paige "Bud" DeWitt and Jimmy Bowers; along with several extended family members and close friends.

In addition to her mother and father, Betty and Domenic Constante, Brenda is preceded in death by great grandparents, Bessie and Lloyd (mommy & daddy) Smith, Lucy and Pete Sr. Constante; Aunt Hazel Echard and husband Allen, who raised her as one of their own; a cousin who was more like a nephew Kirk Wassik; and her beloved fur babies.

Honoring her wishes, the family has entrusted Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home with cremation. In lieu of a funeral service and flowers, donations can be made to an Animal Rescue or Cancer Center of your choice.
