Bonnie Lee Shisler

Bonnie Lee McDonald Shisler, 69, of Morgantown, WV, went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, June 27, 2020, surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 15, 1950, in Uniontown, PA to the late Clyde McDonald and Grace McDonald Cordwell.

She was a faithful member of the Riverside Apostolic Church, where she greeted everyone with a welcoming smile, hug or a handshake.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Lloyd ‘Buck’ Shisler, Sr., her infant brother, Guy McDonald, her sisters, Ruth McDonald Davis, and Delores McDonald Exline.

She will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Lloyd Shisler, Jr., and wife Belinda Aronhalt Shisler of Morgantown, Catherine Shisler Cooper and husband Michael of Huron, OH, Jeffrey Allan Shisler and wife Linda Reed Shisler of Morgantown and Michael Scott Shisler of Morgantown. Bonnie was blessed with seven grandchildren, Joshua (Rachel) Shisler, Erica (Jason) Shisler Whetzel, Heidi, Jeffrey, Jr., and Jacob Shisler and Holly and Caitlin Cooper; three great-grandchildren, Ryder and Grayson Shisler and Tyler Whetzel.

Also surviving are her siblings, Chuck (Karen) McDonald, Clyde (Vicky) McDonald, Alan (Scarlet) McDonald all of Morgantown, Tena (Dave) Tidd of Elkhart, IN; brother-in-law Don Davis and sisters-in-law, Freda (Tom) Keyser, Marie Shisler, Jacqueline Shisler all of Morgantown, Ida Taft of Collins, OH, Bonnie Crawford of Sandusky, OH, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bonnie loved her family, dearly. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who always thought of everyone else’s needs before her own.

Visitation with proper social distancing guidelines will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2020, at Riverside Ministries, 4234 Dents Run Blvd. Morgantown, WV 26501 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM and again on Wednesday from 10 AM until time of services at 11 AM with Pastor Nathaniel Hudson officiating. Bonnie will be laid to rest beside her husband at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
