Blanche E. Geary

Blanche Elaine Geary, 84, of Morgantown passed away Tuesday November 8, 2016 at Golden Living Center. She was born March 30, 1932 in Morgantown a daughter of the late Fred D. and Alice Walker.

In her younger years Blanche worked for the DeHass family in Carmichaels PA, taking care of their 7 children whom she adored all of her life. Blanche was employed as a private nurse for many families around the Morgantown and Fairmont areas and at University Hospital throughout her career. She was an avid WVU sports fan.

She is survived by sons Conwell ‘Bill’ Geary and wife Tammy of Morgantown, William Robinson and wife Sandy of Hagerstown, PA; grandchildren Julissa Geary, Lacie Geary, Brittany Robinson, Courtney Robinson, Trachelle Robinson; sister Martha Alice; many nieces and nephews; and a great friend Ron Klink.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Claude Geary and eight siblings.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday November 13, 2016 from 11am until the time of funeral services at 1pm with Rev. Sandy Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Golden Living Center and Amedysis Hospice for all of the care and support they gave to Blanche.
