Blair Virginia Pechinko, 88 of Morgantown passed away Friday May 13, 2011 at the Golden LivingCenter in Waynesburg, PA. She was born February 28, 1923 in Maybe, WV daughter of the late Eugene and Eula Metz Layman. Blair was a homemaker for many years and also worked as a cosmetologist at the Whiteside's Drug Store and Roger's Drug Store here in Morgantown. She and her husband retired to Florida where she enjoyed golfing, square dancing and crafting ceramics. She was protestant by faith. Blair is survived by her husband of 68 years Paul Pechinko; sons, Paul W. Pechinko of Madison, OH and Eugene W. Pechinko of Morgantown; daughter Deborah Blanchard and husband William Willie' of Morgantown; brothers Carl Layman of Fontana, CA, Russell Layman of Moundsville, WV, Bill Layman of Scottsville, KY; sister Betty Trader of Morgantown; nine grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers Chauncey, Willard, Grant, John and Pride Layman and one grandchild. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday May 15, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Monday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
