Billy Joe Burkhammer

Billy Joe Burkhammer, 74, of Fairmont, passed away Tuesday November 27, 2012 at the Pierpont Center in Fairmont, WV. He was born April 5, 1938 in Morgantown a son to the late Howard and Madge May Black Burkhammer. Billy worked as a heavy equipment operator, painter, mechanic, and truck driver. He enjoyed playing music. Billy is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Rae Shreve Burkhammer; granddaughter Rachel Elyse Burkhammer Hantioes and husband Michael; great grandson Logan Bish; step great grandson William Will' Hantioes; mother-in-law Emmadee Shreve; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Billy Joe Burkhammer Jr.; and siblings Kenneth Burkhammer, Betty Moore, Elizabeth Goodwin, Junior Burkhammer, and Louella Watkins Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday December 2, 2012 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm and again on Monday from noon until time of funeral services at 1pm with Pastor Thomas Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Halleck Cemetery.
