Beverly Ann Sanders

Beverly Ann Sanders, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend, passed away unexpectedly after a brief illness on September 29, 2024, at Mon Health Medical Center of Morgantown. Born on August 16, 1947, in Morgantown, Beverly was an embodiment of love and joy to all who knew her.

A proud graduate of University High School, Beverly dedicated much of her life to nurturing her home and family as a beloved homemaker. She was the loving heart of her household and instilled warmth and kindness in the home she made with her husband of 40 years, the late William E. 'Bumper' Sanders. Together, they raised a family built on laughter, care, and an abundance of love.

Preceded in death by her parents, Leslie E. and Phyllis Ann Shaffer Nine, Beverly's memory lives on through her devoted children, Kimberly Sanders of Morgantown and son Edward 'Buddy' (Amanda) Sanders of Kingwood. As an only child, Beverly poured her heart into her children, proudly witnessing the growth of her lineage that includes grandchildren Andrew Sanders, Bailey (Jordan) Motes, Garrett (Mickenze), Matthew (Mackenzie), Josiah, JJ Moats, Alexander, and Aurora Sanders, along with great-grandchildren Nolan, Berkeley, and the little one on the way, Beau Sanders.

Beverly's spirit of involvement extended beyond her family life. She was an active member of the VFW Post 1589 Auxiliary and attended Together4Christ Ministries in Kingwood. With a creative flair for crafting, her wreaths became legendary, and she cultivated her passion through numerous trips to Michael's and her home was a frequent stop for Amazon packages. Family and friends fondly remember her ritual ice cream indulgence during "Press Your Luck" and the shared enjoyment of the Game Show Network. Beverly's infectious laughter often filled Gene's, her favored spot for hot dogs and a red-eye.

Loving, kind, and funny, Beverly leaves behind a legacy of joyous moments and the gentle touch of her creative hands. Her kind spirit touched many throughout her 77 years, creating an enduring tapestry of memories that will continue to bring smiles to faces and warmth to hearts. Beverly's unmistakable laughter and the sparkle in her eye will be deeply missed but forever cherished in the stories retold at family gatherings and the crafts that adorn the homes of her loved ones. She lived life with grace, and in passing, leaves behind a legacy as tender and beautiful as the wreaths she lovingly crafted—wreaths that, like her essence, will hang in the doorways of our hearts for generations to come.

Friends will gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 from 4 PM – 8 PM and again on Thursday Oct. 3, 2024 from 11 AM until time of services at 12 PM with Pastor Kelly Gamble officiating. The family will honor Beverly’s wish for cremation following the services. A private interment of her ashes will take place at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
