Beverly Lynn Johnson

Beverly Lynn Johnson, age 61, of Morgantown passed away at home on December 24th, 2017. She was born June 21st, 1956 in Morgantown. She is the daughter of the late Homer Mathess and Arveda Fisher-Mathess. Upon graduating from WV Junior College in the Dental Assisting Program and obtaining certification from the Dental Assisting National Board, Lynn worked in the Orthodontic field of Dentistry as an Assistant and Lab Technician for 43 years. The last 29 of those years she worked with the office of Drs. Lacy, Weidman, and Hazey III. Surviving are sons Aaron and wife Angela Johnson and Daniel Johnson all of Morgantown. Beloved granddaughters Olivia and Georgia Johnson of Morgantown. Sister B. Kay Mathess-Linkous, Brother in law Edmund, and nephew Travis of Columbia, SC. Sister in law Pat Johnson-Field and husband Marvin of Morgantown. Nephews Allen Mathess and partner Steven Aron of Point Marion, Shawn Mathess and wife Pat of Morgantown, and Christopher Mathess and partner Cheryl Boling of Morgantown, Joe Sewash and wife Donna of NC. Nieces Christina Sewash of OH and Jennifer Schetz and husband Dave of MD. As well as many beloved cousins and great nieces. The family would also like to give special thanks to cousin Marianne Murray McFadden of Morgantown for all of her care and concern during Lynn's illness. In addition to to her parents, Lynn is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim and brother, Allen Mathess. Honoring Lynn's wishes, there will be no funeral services and cremation will be provided by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
