Betty Jean Schoonover

Betty Jean Wolfe Schoonover, 75, of Morgantown, passed away Monday Sept. 17, 2012 peacefully at her home with her daughter Brenda and husband Roger Marshall by her side. Betty was born April 14, 1937, in Thorton, WV, a daughter of late Dorsey David Wolfe and Bertha Larew Towns. Betty was a teacher's aide at Halleck school house and when she married late Arthur Dale Schoonover, she became a homemaker and they raised two sons and four daughters. Betty is survived by her children and spouses. David Wolfe and wife Margie, Loretta Schoonover Koon, Brenda Schoonover Marshall, husband Roger, Donna Schoonover Pompili, husband Jim, and James Schoonover, wife Genevieve. Nine grandchildren Amanda Savage, Sara Hess, Misty Royce, husband Philip, Angie Marshall Wolfe, husband Brandon, Kristin Wolfe, boyfriend Timothy Henry, Tiffany McCauley, Fiancé Timothy Barnett, Anna Schoonover, Fiancé Christopher Nicholson, Ashley Marshall, Fiancé Casey Linn, Vaughn (Bub) Trimble, and Cassandra Mullenax. Eleven great-grandchildren Felicity, Abyona, Cianna, Makennzee, Riley, Timothy, Macey, Juliann, Brianna, Ava, Olen and many nieces and nephews; Sisters, Brothers, and spouses, Bonnie and Tommy Tucker, Dorsey Wolfe, wife Bonnie, Robert Wolfe, wife Lee, Ethel Towns and husband James. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter JoAnn Ball Schoonover, and grandson Roger Lee Marshall Jr. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday September 19, 2012 from 3-5pm & 7-9pm and again on Thursday from 1pm until time of funeral services at 2pm with Pastor Marty Turner officiating. Burial will follow at Halleck Cemetery.
