Betty L Rose

Betty L. Rose, 84, of Morgantown, entered into rest May 28, 2017. She was born April 5, 1933 to the late James West and Margaret Stewart-West.

Betty graduated from University High School in 1951. She retired from Mylan Pharmaceuticals after 29 years of service as a Quality Control Inspector and also lab technician. Betty enjoyed visiting the Cheat Area Public Library and reading. She loved traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by daughters, Vicki Stockett and spouse Bob, Marsha Colebank and spouse Rick; son Greg Rose and spouse Rhonda; grand-children, Steven Stockett, Kristen Casteel, Ryan Rose, Jennalea Wallace, Shannon Schifano, Amanda McDonald, Brieanne Dietz, Rachel Lawson, Whitley Rose, and Brandi Rose; 7 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.

In addition to her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kermit Rose; son, Brad Rose; brother, Steve West.

Donations may be made in Betty’s memory to the Cheat Area Public Library, 121 Crosby Rd., Morgantown, WV 26508.

Family and friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Thursday, June 1 from 2pm until 4pm and again from 6pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue Friday, June 2 from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Tim Wotring officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
