Betty Clark Jackson

Betty Wanda Clark Jackson, 69 of (New Hill) Cassville, passed away, Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born November 4, 1945 in Morgantown, the daughter of the late Farris and Dorothy Palmer Clark. She graduated from Morgantown High School class of "64. She was an avid softball player for many years with Osage Pirates, Dean's Jeweler's, First National Bank and Wings n Things. She was employed in early years with Dean's Jeweler's, Soil Conservation Service, Farmers and Merchant's Bank, Mountaineer Tele-Service as well as an entrepreneur owning Wesley's Bar and construction with her late husband John W. Jackson, Jr. Her most beloved duty was as a mother to her children. She was a beloved mentor for many people throughout the city of Morgantown. She is survived by her four children: Anthony (Patricia) Marbury of Crozet, Virginia, Felecia Perea, Wesley (Misty) and Tara Jackson (Sedrick Lewis) all of Morgantown: 10 grandchildren; Emily & Natalie Marbury, Alexis Berrios, Misael Perea Jr., Cecelia LaBastida, Rossi LaBastida, Elija Jackson, Ethan Jackson, Melique Lewis, Kaleil Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, Gloria McKinney of Columbus, OH, Farris Clark, Jr. (Adelle Boyers) of Morgantown, Charles Clark (Rolla) of Morgantown, Sharyon Renea' Martin, of Cross Lanes, WV, Robert (E.J.) Clark, of Morgantown and JoAnn Rice of Columbus, OH. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Wesley Junie' Jackson, Jr.; one grandson, Rus Bunkie RJ' Jackson; father and mother-in-law, John Wesley Jackson, Sr., Velma Dale Jackson; sister-in-law, Susan Dawson Jackson; sister-in-law, Patty Sabo; brother-in-law, Richard A. Jackson; nephew, Johnathan Lemuel Cottingham; niece, Bernice Evelyn Couch and best friend, Martha G Marbury. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, March, 10, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and again on Wednesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Kevin Cain officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove. Repass will follow at The Shack from 2pm to 4pm.
