Betty L. Hershman

Betty L. Hershman, 75, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018 at J. W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. The daughter of the late George and Alice Bircher, she was born June 2, 1943 in Morgantown. Betty attended Riverside Apostolic Church for many years. She was a certified nursing assistant and worked for Mon General Hospital from 1990 to 1997 and before that worked at Sundale Nursing Home. She also enjoyed volunteering at Unity Manor in her spare time. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 43 years Ronald Hershman; a step-daughter, T. Louise Ayersman; brother George Bircher; sisters: Alice St. Clair, and Goldie Ruth Darocha; and 2 step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers John Bircher, Robert Bircher, Donald Bircher; and sisters Esther McCormick, and Margaret Smyth. Honoring the family's wishes, all services are private.
