Betty Kathleen Gamble

Betty Kathleen Gamble, 86, of Morgantown passed away at 1am Sunday October 10, 2010 at Monongalia General Hospital in Morgantown. Mrs. Gamble was born April 24, 1924 in Morgantown the daughter of the late Gladis and Louise Stalnaker. She married Kenneth F. Gamble in 1942 in Oakland, MD. Her beloved husband preceded her death in 1992. Mrs. Gamble was a graduate of Morgantown High School. She retired from the UMWA Health and Retirement Fund in 1987. She and her husband were past members of the Western Stars Square Dance Club. She enjoyed her flowers, WVU, and was known for her love of anything purple. She is survived by two daughters Joyce Jameson and husband John of North Vernon, IN, and Patty Berthy and husband Tom of Hampshire, TN; two sons Kenneth Michael Gamble and wife Becky of Martinsburg, WV, and Stephen Gamble and wife Camille of Phoenix, AZ; a sister Nellie Ailene Cagle of Clover, SC; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday October 14, 2010 from 10am until time of funeral services at 11am. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Mrs. Gamble's memory to the American Heart Association 1110 Prestwick Ave. Morgantown, WV 26508.
