It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Betty Jule Dennis, who departed this life peacefully on July 19, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 27, 1933, in Rosedale, West Virginia, she was the cherished daughter of Glayden and Evelyn Westfall White. Betty was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Dale Dennis, as well as her parents and siblings, H.D. White, Norma Brundage, and Marie Hawker.
Betty is survived by her two children, daughter Debra Martin and son Neil (Cheryl) Dennis, and four grandchildren. Additionally, she leaves behind her siblings: Robert White, Lonnie White, and Barbara Hamrick.
Betty dedicated many years of service to the local power company, where she worked in the accounting department, while her beloved husband, Dale, served as a lineman. Together they built a life rooted in hard work, devotion to family, and service to their community. Betty was also a faithful member of Cheat Lake United Methodist Church, where her quiet faith was an important part of her life.
An avid gardener, Betty found joy working in her yard and cherished the beauty of nature. She was known for her meticulous care of her home, particularly her windows, and had a well-known fondness for sweets, especially enjoying a Blizzard from Dairy Queen.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the compassionate team at Morgantown Hospice for their professional and loving care throughout her final days. Betty will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.
