Betty Bennett

Betty Bennett, 64 of Golden Living Center, passed away Tuesday November 30, 2010 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born May 28, 1946 at Elk Garden, WV, the daughter of the late Elmer Everett and Carolyn June Harvey Bennett. Betty retired from the WVU Towers as a food service worker with 30 years of service. She is survived by her son Randy Bennett of Spraggs, Pa., daughter Carolyn Goodwin of Morgantown, Brothers Richard Bennett and Michael Martin both of Morgantown, Donald Bennett of Spraggs, Pa., James Bennett of Wana, Bill Martin of Alabama and Ival Martin of Masontown, Pa., also surviving is a sister Sue Lewis of Spraggs, Pa., as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Goodwin, 2 daughters Regina Denise Bennett and Rebecca Dawn Bennett, 2 brothers Elmer Evertt Bennett and Ernest Bennett, a sister Joan Wagner. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, December 3, 2010 from 2-6pm and again on Saturday from 10am until the time of services at 11am with Pastor Fred Tomlinson officiating. Burial will follow in Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donation in Betty's memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association Landmarks Building, 100 W.
