Betty Jo Atkins

Betty Jo Atkins, 89, of Morgantown WV, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2020. Betty was born in Morgantown on April 4, 1931 to the late Robert and Iva Workman Bonnett.

Betty was first an amazing homemaker, cooking and caring for her family. She also worked part time as a nurse at Mon General and did secretarial work for all the family businesses. Betty loved to travel and was fortunate to visit Africa, China, South America, Europe, and many Caribbean islands.

Betty loved animals, especially dogs. In her free time, she traced the roots of her family ancestry

Betty is survived by her daughter Carol Atkins, her son David Atkins and wife Carolyn Atkins, daughter-in-law Vicki Atkins; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren

She is preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Earl “Bud” Atkins; and two sons, Richard Atkins and Edward Atkins; eight brothers; and three sisters
