Bernice Virginia Devall

Bernice Virginia DeVall, 98, of Morgantown, formerly of Albright, WV died Monday January 21, 2013 at her home in Morgantown. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Bernice was born July 22, 1914 in Cuzzart, WV daughter to the late Troy and Esther Hardesty Groves. She was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church for many years. She is survived by her children, Robert DeVall of Morgantown, Barbara Richards of Albright, Jackie Richards and husband Jack of Morgantown, Everett DeVall of Morgantown and Pam Sherren and husband Dick of Pataskala, OH; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Groves of Morgantown and Junior Groves of FL and three sisters, Hazel Nedrow of Monaca, PA, Leona Collier and Kathy Riley both of Lake Lynn, FL. Also surviving is her good friends Tammy Pillo and Erin Taylor both of Morgantown. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Elmer C. DeVall; one son Roger Lee DeVall; three brothers, Asa Groves, Virgil Groves and Burhl Groves and sisters Edna Billotti Verna Kneight; June Nedrow and son-in-law Bill Richards. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday January 25, 2013 from 5pm to 8pm and on Saturday at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church from 12 noon until time of funeral services at 1pm with Rev. Gary Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
