Bernard William Loehr

Bernard William Loehr, 68, of Morgantown passed away Monday December 6, 2010 at Monongalia General Hospital after an acute respiratory illness. Mr. Loehr was born in Morgantown on July 17, 1942, son of the late John E Loehr and Gertrude Ridgeway Loehr of Morgantown. He graduated from St. Francis High School, 1960, and served in the US Army for 4 years, serving as a military policeman in Germany. He graduated from Fairmont State College with a BS in Economics in 1968. Mr. Loehr was employed by Boeing and helped build the PRT system for WV University in the l970s. He then moved to Seattle and was employed by Boeing for 25 years as equipment supervisor for the interior of airplanes. Upon retirement he returned to Morgantown and was active in the business community, involved in management of real-estate interests in Morgantown and Suncrest. In addition to his parents Mr. Loehr was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert John Loehr and John Edward Loehr, Jr; and two sisters, Mary Bernice Monahan and Louise Loehr Kahan. He is survived by his sister, Florence Loehr Holmes of San Diego, and 12 nieces and nephews. To honor Mr. Loehr's wishes cremation was arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
