Barbie Grimes

Barbie Jo Grimes, age 61, of the Kingwood Pike passed away on Friday, January 9, 2026. She was born August 13, 1964 to the late Leon Pete and Bonnie Blosser.

She was a homemaker and faithful member of Gods Family Bible Church on Pond Road in Morgantown until her health no longer allowed her. She then spent several years in the care of the Morgantown Healthcare Center, where the nursing staff cared for her like she was family.

Barbie is survived by her husband of 41 years, Jerry Grimes; her daughter, Jessica (Andrew) Conners; two grandchildren; sister, Charolette (Dayton) Grimes; brother-in-law, Bobby Skipper; sister-in-law, Kim Grimes; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lee Grimes; sister, Mary Lou Skipper; brother-in-law, Billy Grimes; and sister-in-law, Kim Grimes.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Morgantown Healthcare Center.

Cremation services have been entrusted to the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home with no services at this time.
