Barbara J. Grogan,

88, of Morgantown, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 in her home with her daughter and caregiver by her side.

The daughter of the late Lawrence B. and Maude C. Stillman she was born August 30, 1928, in Morgantown, WV.

Barbara was an avid Mountaineer fan. She was a wonderful cook, loved to shop with her friend Jackie, and loved the beach. Barbara was a babysitter for many families and the children became a huge part of her family and life. Watching them grow up brought her such joy and she was so proud of all of them.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Kim Grogan; and her beloved dog, Bailey.

A special thanks to: Susan and Bill Brewer, Mark and Cindy Graham, Steve and Lynn LaCagnin. Julie and Will Armistead, Joan and Matt Swengel and many more for sharing your children with our family.

Thank you Kathy Franklin and Shirley Luzader for the wonderful love and kindness you showed to mom. You took great care of her for many years and she loved you greatly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis A. Grogan, and a brother, Ralph B. Stillman.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Wednesday, July 26, 2017 from 5 to 7 pm and again Thursday from 10am until the 11am service with Pastor Junius Lewis officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Barbara’s memory to Norma Mae Huggins Cancer Research Endowment at wvucancer.org.
