Audra Gay Penrod

Audra Gay Penrod, age 77, passed away peacefully at her home in Morgantown, WV on Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Porter Carl and Marjorie E. Reid.

Audra was a member of the Fox Chapel Church for many years. It was there that she met and married her husband, Sonny. The two of them shared their love of God and their love of gardening together. Audra spent most of her life caring for her own family and for others in their homes. She had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Sonny Penrod; her brothers, Dick, Clyde, and Porter Reid; and sisters, Mary Fox and Rose Taylor.

She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved children, Gerald and Keith Penrod, Julie Penrod Gaines, and Heidi Penrod Russack; two brothers, Bill and James Reid; three sisters, June Michael, Ramona Richman and Charolette D’Andrea; grandchildren, Evan, Jared, Noah, Emily, Alex, Grady, Faith, and Ryker.

Friends and family are invited to gather at Fred Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday, June 30, 2024 from 12 PM until the time of service at 2 PM with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Audra will be laid to rest next to her husband at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
