Arthilla 'Arty' Rey Sawyer

Arthilla "Arty" Rey Sawyer, 60 of Morgantown passed away Monday, July 25, 2011 at Ruby Memorial. She was born October 22, 1950 in Binghamton,NY, the daughter of the late Willard L. and Arthilla G. Sawyer. Arty graduated from MHS in 1970, after which she took nursing assistance classes and gave 24 years of service to Mon General Hospital. She is survived by two sisters Patricia L. Chuchiak and husband John of Ohio; Joann Wrachford and husband Russ of Morgantown; one brother Bobby Sawyer and wife Dena of Maidsville. Also surviving are three nieces, four nephews, 13 great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents. In honoring Arty's wishes, cremation services were conducted by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 5pm until the time of memorial services at 6pm with Rev. Francis Nicholson officiating.
