Arleigh Kisner, 94, of Cheat Lake passed away Monday August 27, 2012 at Sundale Nursing Home. He was born February 19, 1918 in Morgantown a son to the late John Wesley and Dolly Francis Frazee Kisner. Arleigh was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He also worked for Sterling Faucet and was a member of the United Steel Workers of America Local 6214. Arleigh attended Calvary Methodist Church in Cheat Lake. He was a member of Cheat Lake Volunteer Fire Dept. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #1932, Point Marion, PA. Arleigh was a "jack of all trades" and could fix anything. He is survived by his wife Genevieve Kisner, who he married on June 29, 1940; two sons Richard Kisner of Hartly, DE, Kenneth Kisner of Richmond, VA; daughter Retha Jakeway of Kalispell, MT; grandchildren Shane Kisner, Brian Kisner, Travis Jakeway; five great grandchildren; and a half-brother Lowell Kisner. In addition to his parents Arleigh was preceded in death by a son Roger Kisner and two grandchildren Shawn Kisner and Richard Kisner Jr. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Thursday August 30, 2012 from 6-9pm. Graveside services and burial will be held Friday at 11:30am at Fletcher Cemetery with Rev. Michael Rowe officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, In Memory of Shawn Kisner, 8001 Franklin Farms Drive #139 Richmond, VA 23229
