Annette Lorraine Sutton

Annette Lorraine Sutton, affectionately known as Annette to her friends and family, passed away surrounded by loved ones on January 8, 2024, at The Madison Center in Morgantown, WV, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. Born on January 21, 1955, in Trenton, NJ, Annette was a beacon of light and joy to all who knew her.

A proud high school graduate, Annette lived a life marked by warmth, generosity, and an unabating zest for the everyday joys. She leaves behind a loving sister, Dorrine Jackson of Cullen, VA; cherished brothers, Caesar Sutton, Sr., of Amelia, VA and Willie Sutton, of Charlotte Courthouse, VA; and a devoted nephew, Caesar Sutton, Jr., of Morgantown. Annette’s spirit will also be treasured by a multitude of nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family members who were blessed by her infectious laughter and boundless love.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Wilbert Joner and Minnie Lee Sutton. Annette's legacy of love, resilience, and kindness will be forever etched in the hearts of those who loved her.

Friends and family will gather at the Fred L Jenkins Funeral Home on Saturday, January 13, 2024 where Homegoing Services will begin at 1:30 PM with Whitsel Jackson officiating. Annette will be laid to rest at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
