Anna Growsky Thomas

Anna Growsky Thomas, 90 of Granville passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at her residence. She was born July 19, 1919 in Clarksburg, the daughter of the late Tom and Stella Banka Komies Growsky. Anna was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and a homemaker. Anna enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, working crossword puzzles and loved playing the organ. She is survived by a son , August Joseph Thomas of Granville, a daughter Shirley Ann and husband John Ray ‘Bub’ Milush of Westover, a sister Sophie and husband John Lako of Jere. Grandchildren John Milush and his wife Tami and Tom Milush and his wife Tracey. Great grandchildren Derek Milush and wife Lauren and Nikki Mattingly and husband Gobel. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Anna was preceded in death by her husband August ‘Augie’ Thomas in 2006, 5 brothers and 4 sisters. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 4-7pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am Wednesday at the funeral home with Fr. John V. DiBacco officiating. Entombment will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
