Anna Ellen Lewis Anna Ellen "Granny" Lewis, 91 of the Grafton Rd., Morgantown passed away at the Sundale Nursing Home surrounded by her family on August 10, 2012. Granny was born July 22, 1921 in Howellsville,WV, the daughter of the late Charles and Catherine Ringer. Granny was a homemaker, wife and mother. She loved to quilt, crochet and many other crafts that she taught to her daughters and daughters in laws. She was married to David S. Lewis for 71 years till he passed on January 1, 2010. Anna and David have 5 children; Evelyn Sapp and husband Leroy of Pt. Marion,Pa., James Lewis and wife Verna of Grafton Rd., Donald Lewis and wife Joyce of Grafton Rd., Billie Lewis and wife Kyleen of the Grafton Rd., and Theresa Zinn and husband Keith of Virginia Beach,Va.. They were blessed with 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren with one on the way and 11 great great grandchildren. Granny was a member of the Women's Democratic Club, Halleck Homemakers, Moose and Eagles Club and the Halleck Methodist Church. Anna is also survived by 3 sisters Wilma Sirk of Terra Alta, Lillian Dixion and husband Claude of Coville, WA., Eleanor Stevens and husband Luther of Morgantown, and a special sister-in-law Ruth Ringer of Ohio. She also has many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband David, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Special thanks to Morgantown Hospice, Laurel, Tammy, Vicky, Michelle, Carrie, Maddie and Priscilla. Also Nancy Strang (Scrub Lady) and the staff of Sundale Nursing Home 1st floor . Jenkins Funeral on Monday, August 13, 2012 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until the time of services at 11am with Rev. Karen Austin officiating.
