Angeline 'Nana' Scotchell

Angeline Nana' Audia Scotchell passed away at home surrounded by her family on Friday August 24, 2012, just a few weeks prior to her 99 th birthday. She was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Scotchell; her parents Luigi and Theresa Audia and all her brothers and sisters; John, Robert, Dominick, Sam, Thomas, Mary and Erma. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Antoinette Toni' Casino and son-in-law Fred Casino. She is survived by her daughter Joan DeChristopher and son-in-law Patsy DeChristopher who rarely left her side. She was a proud grandmother of John DeChristopher, Christopher Casino and spouse Mechelle, Perri Jo DeChristopher and spouse Charles Porter and Lynette DeChristopher. She was the great grandmother of Danielle and Anthony Casino and Sydney and Chase Porter. She enjoyed reminiscing with her sisters-in-law Jeanette Scotchell Marra and Mary Scotchell Barill. Nana was a grandmother to so many more who loved her company and her food. No one ever left her home hungry or empty handed. Those that were fortunate enough to spend time with her learned about the old ways' and how to make pasta. The family owes a special thank you to Barbara Hall for all her care and concern for Nana during the last few years. Friends may call at the St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Star City on Sunday August 26 from 2 to 7pm with scripture service to conclude visitation and again on Monday from 10am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11am with Rev. Father John V. DiBacco, Jr. as celebrant. Burial will follow at the East Oak Grove Cemetery.
