Alicia Gaye Childs Pinchot, 52, passed away unexpectedly June 28, 2017 in Jacksonville, FL. She grew up in Morgantown, WV and graduated from West Virginia University.
A resident of the Jacksonville area for 30 years, she was a longtime member of Beach Church with whom she took mission trips and attended the Church of Eleven22 with her husband, Rick.
Alicia had a passion for teaching and was a 2002 Finalist for the Duval County Teacher of the Year. She was a teacher at Seaside Community Charter School having taught 2nd grade last school year.
She leaves to mourn her loss, parents Dale & Martha Childs, of Morgantown; husband of 28 years, Rick, and children, Morgan, Zach and Noah Pinchot of Jacksonville, FL.; her brothers, Charlie (Lisa) of Richmond, VA and Phil (Debbie) Childs of Morgantown; father-in-law, Larry Pinchot; sisters-in-law, Debra Pinchot, Barb (John) Helminiak, Linda (John) Kaniecki, and Cindy (Scott) Stiffler; six nephews and four nieces.
A celebration of Alicia's life will be held at 11am, Monday, July 17 at the Coopers Rock State Forest, Pavilion 1.
