Alexander Wayne Ast

Alexander Wayne Alex' Ast, 16, of Granville passed away Friday November 5, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 25, 1994 in Morgantown a son to Kai Ast and Amanda Ehlers. Alex was an excellent big brother and a very caring and friendly person. He enjoyed playing guitar and watching anime. He also loved animals. In addition to his parents he is survived by two brothers Aaron Shorter and Tristan Shorter; two sisters Ashley Shorter and Haley Ast all of Morgantown; maternal grandfather Ivan Ehlers; paternal grandmother Lilo Ast; an uncle Keith Ast; an aunt Linda Menear; and his step-mother Terri Ast. Alex is also survived by his cousins Joe Menear, Holly Menear, Nicole Weaver, Kara Ast, Katlyn Ast, Travis Gee, Spencer Gee, Owen Wince, and Mason Wince. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday November 10, 2010 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Thursday from 12pm noon until time of services at 1pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
