Fred Johnson

Fred M. Johnson Fred M. Johnson, 63 0f Pursglove passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1948 in Morgantown , the son of the late Ellsworth and Ellen Yeager Piper. Fred retired from the US Army after 20 years of service, holding the rank of Drill Sergeant. He served in the Viet Nam era, and loved to walk in the woods. He is survived his sisters Sue Menear, Denise Delaney (Melvin), Ricki Jolliff (Jeff), Brenda Yoss(Dave), Kim Marks (Bill), Tina Saltsman (Duane), Betty Fortney (Fred); Brothers Randy Piper (Cheryl), David Piper (Rhonda), Sonny Piper (Helen) and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Virgil Johnson. In honoring his wishes, cremation services will be conducted by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.
